Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Dhaka is proud to organize a musical evening by Ms. Mehreen at Colosseum, Gulshan Club, Dhaka at 6:30 PM on 2^nd November 2018.

  Mehreen is a renowned Bangladeshi Pop singer born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is a multi-genre artist who covers Folk, Classical, Jazz and Fusion Music. She was awarded numerous times for her soulful rendering and has in her credit 7 albums. During her career of 20 years she has given big hits. She was one of the judges in Bangladeshi Idol. Mehreen is a cross over artist who worked with internationally acclaimed composers and musicians like Djamel of France, Pt Tonmoy Bose, Bickrom Ghosh of Kolkata and Grammy winner A R Rehman.

  Her musical journey from the age of four turned into a career from the year 2000 after her first release “Anari” which was a revival of Bangla Pop.

  In 2008, she was the judge from Bangladesh to the first ever Band Hunt reality show in Kolkata “the Band Wagon” which was tremendously popular reality show and was  highlighted by the presence of Grammy winner A.R. Rehman as the Master Judge. She has appeared on international TV channels such as ESPN, ETV Bangla, Zee Bangla, Tara Music, South Asian TV, Vh1 Mumbai, VOA Bangla and was covered on print and radios in Mumbai, Kolkata , BBC UK and BBC Bangla.

  Mehreen was affiliated with WFP (World Food Program) as Goodwill Ambassador, and with WFWP (Women Federation for World Peace) as Peace Ambassador. She is also Vice President of Bangladesh Chapter.
