“ Kishore Kumar Night” by Atik Hasan and Rajashree Acharjee

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Dhaka in collaboration with American International University Bangladesh is proud to organize “ Kishore Kumar Night” by Atik Hasan and Rajashree Acharjee at Multipurpose Hall American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) campus, 408/1, Kuratoli, Khikhet, Dhaka 1229 at 6:30 pm on 14th September 2018

Atik Hasan's parents were great listeners of music which influenced him to grow with a lot of passion for music at a very young age. During his childhood, one day he heard a song of Kishore Kumar. He liked the song to such an extent that from that day he made up his mind that in his later life he would become a singer and that became his dream. To pursue his dream he started to learn music from Syed Toufikul Islam. After learning music for a long time Atik Hasan released his first album "Madhobi ki chilo bhul" under the banner of Soundtek in 2002. The album turned out to be a great hit album which changed his life and his career drastically. After that he did not have to look back and released a number of more hit albums which included collaborations with India's eminent singers like Sonu Nigam and Kumar Shanu. In 2003 he got enlisted in Bangladesh National Television (BTV ). Having an amazing resemblance of his idol's voice Kishore Kumar, Atik Hasan earned a name as "Bangladeshi Kishore Kumar" in Bangladesh.

Rajashree Acharjee had her personal Musical Talim from Chattogram in Bangladesh Heritage Musical School “Arya Sangeet Samiti”, Ostad (Late Nirob Boron Barua). After completed 6th year course she was started Nazrul Sangeet Talim from “(Shree Moti Jayanti Lala”) as a Singer she got enlisted both in Bangladesh National Television (BTV) and radio. Beside Nazrul Sangeet she is performing Adhunik Bangla Songs, Gazals and Hindi also. She has four music albums in her credit. She is a promising artist in Bangladesh.
