IGCC is organising an evening of recitation titled ‘Suporibesh o Suchetona’ by Ms. Dalia Das and Mr. Bidhan Chandra Pal at Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbagh, Dhaka onSaturday, 10 February, 2018, at 6.00 PM.

 

Natural environment, with all its aspects, is extremely important for the very existence of life. It is our duty not to pollute our atmosphere and to keep it clean and beautiful. The purpose of this programme is to enhance our awareness and duty towards nature through reading of poetry written by eminent poets on this topic.

Ms. Dahlia Das grew up in a cultural environment since her childhood. She started participating in recitation and other cultural competitions during her school and college years and received many awards. She became a nationally acknowledged voice when she started participating and receiving awards as a student of the Dhaka University. This was also the time she began to associate herself with many university-based recitation organizations. She also had the opportunity to recite poems for quite a number of albums out of which three duet albums were published from Kolkata. She also regularly performs in television programs.

Mr. Bidhan Chandra Pal has also been participating in recitation competitions since childhood. He is also a Poet. In his school years, he took an initiative to form a recitation coordination council (Abritti Samannay Charcha Parisad) in his area along with the help of others. His first recitation album “Echo of Expectations” (Prattashar Pratidhwani) was published in 2013 which has been acknowledged by leading newspapers of Bangladesh as the first DVD album of recitation in the country. He also has three duet albums published from Kolkata. Two of his books have been published by Agamee Prokashoni. He also has another book of poem coming out this year. He is involved with writing and research besides working in a private company. Being a member of various organizations is one of his hobbies, which gives him the opportunity to be actively involved in many social, cultural and environmental organizations.
